Christina Trinidad Requa, 67, passed away on July 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Christina lived in Los Angeles for over 45 years and will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
She was born on April 14, 1958, in El Salvador to Engracia Laínez and Pedro López. After losing her father as a newborn, she was lovingly raised by her stepfather, Silvaro Argueta. Christina is now reunited in heaven with her brothers Thomas, Ronald, and Simón.
From a young age, Christina was driven and hardworking. She studied fashion and tailoring in San Salvador before moving to the United States, where she met her husband, Doug Requa. While raising their children, she returned to school to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Alongside her husband, she helped manage the family business—always balancing her responsibilities around her children’s needs. Christina was known for her generous spirit, often volunteering in her community and offering support to friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Doug; her children, Cindy and Kenny; her sisters, Bernarda and Engracia; her two grandchildren, Noah and Dani Robles; and her son-in-law, Cesar Robles. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, and extended family members and their children—whom she cared for with the same love and attention as her own. Christina’s heart and home were always open.
She found joy in gardening, held a deep appreciation for nature, and found comfort in reading scripture. Most of all, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her legacy of love, resilience, and selfless service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
