Chet Christopher was born December 13, 1959 at General Hospital in Los Angeles, California, to Bernice and Leon. Chet was the first of three sons and the third child of six siblings.

Chet lived in Los Angeles for most of his life. He attended and graduated from Lockwood Elementary School, Thomas Starr King Junior High School and John Marshall High School. During his youth, Chet, along with his brother Peter, served as Altar Boys at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in East Hollywood, and participated in the Cub and Boy Scouts of America. Chet also attended Glendale Community College and Washington State University, where he played for the Cougars. Chet was an athlete, and excelled in both football and track throughout his school years. His later career achievements included working with at-risk youth for the LA County Department of Probation. Chet’s other passions included music from the ‘60s, Twilight Zone Marathons, The Godfather Trilogy and anything Robert DeNiro. Chet loved and was so loved by his schoolmates, that he rarely missed the annual JMHS ‘Endless Summer Picnic’ at Griffith Park.

Chet departed from this life on Thursday, February 8, 2024. His wife, Phyllis, preceded him in death. Chet Christopher is survived by his mother Bernice, daughter Paige, sisters Rhonda, Jill Marie, and Dawn, brother Harold, and a large, extended family of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. But he is not gone, for he lives on in each of our hearts and minds.
