Charles John Tomasin

Charles John Tomasin Jr, 84, passed away quietly in his sleep on December 25, 2017 in Seal Beach, CA. He joins his wife Janet of 62 years in eternal rest, after her death in August, 2017.

"Chuck", as he was affectionately known, was born in Akron, Ohio on January 12, 1933, to Lena and Charles Tomasin, Sr. Chuck graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1955 while participating in the US Army ROTC program. Charles served in as an Army Captain on active and reserve duty. He began a career in retail management then was hired by Rubbermaid, Inc. in nearby Wooster, OH. His position as a regional Sales Manager allowed Charles to travel around the country while based in Ohio. His career with Rubbermaid, took him, Janet, and their family of four children from Ohio, to Virginia, Dallas, and finally to Los Alamitos, CA in 1972, where Charles lived until his death.

Chuck will be remembered to his family and friends for his joy of life. He was always quick with a story or joke that made everyone laugh. He made endearing friends from business colleagues and neighbors alike. He was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and loved all of their their pets. He was a positive influence on everyone he met.

Chuck is survived by his four children, sons Jeffrey of Cypress, CA, Gregory, Brian and Elizabeth Tomasin of Los Alamitos, CA, and daughter Kathy and Bart Bokemeyer of Bloomington, IL, and granddaughters Lauren Medved, Briannna and Madeline Tomasin. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, his parents, and sister Irene Coyle.

Services will be on Friday January 19, 2018, 1:00 PM at St Hedwigs Catholic Church, 11482 Los Alamitos Blvd in Los Alamitos, CA and burial at Forest Lawn Cypress
