Charles "Red" Slaughter, 62, passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Panorama City, California.

He was born January 8, 1951 to Okey "Red" and Marietta Slaughter in Los Angeles, California.

Charles was employed by Los Angeles School District as a bus mechanic for the past 20 years. He was a member of Local 90 Labor Management at LAUSD. He enjoyed carpentry work, all forms of auto racing and watching the Little League World Series each year. One of his favorite things to do was to watch his son bowl in his bowling tournaments.

Charles is survived by his wife Sandi of 31 years, son Billy and stepson Kevin, mother Marietta and stepfather Ernie, sister Sue and her husband Bernie.
