Charles Saunders Mallory, 90 born on June 12,1922, in Kokomo, Indiana to Charles McQuiston and Nelle Thelma Mallory as their only child. Charles passed away March 9, 2013 in Glendale California where he resided at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA.

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved father Charles Mallory. The funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Church of the Hills, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive. He will be laid to rest between his wife Gertrude, and his mother Nelle.

Charles is a proud member of the Burbank Masonic Lodge No. 406 Free and Accepted Masons where he earned the title of Master Mason.

He served his country in WWII in the army as a Technical Staff Sergeant and airplane crew chief of the 11th fighter squadron. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands where he was awarded both a victory and good conduct medals.

Chuck (as his friends knew him) married Gertrude Marie Popper the one love of his life on June 17th, 1951 and they settled in Glendale to raise their family Diane, Janet and Charley all of which he was deeply proud of. Besides his children, Chuck will be missed by his son in-laws, daughter in-law, grand-daughters and great grand-daughter in addition to extended family and friends.

Chuck was a talented machinist and a business man who was fair in all of his dealings. His talents allowed him to rise to the position of Senior Vice President of Mitchell Camera Corporation.

His membership in the Masons, Shriners and Grandview Presbyterian church all reflect the heart and soul he embodied.

He will always be known as a generous and charitable man who preferred not to be publically recognized for his efforts. He will be deeply missed by all who came to know him.
