Exeter, NH: Charles F. Davidson, 78, a resident of Exeter NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of William A. and Laura (Murphy) Davidson, of Malden, MA and was born on June 8, 1934 in Malden.

Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He resided in Malden until 1998 when he moved to Plaistow. Last year he moved to Exeter and was living with his daughter and her family.

Charlie was an active member of the Rockingham Church in Plaistow and was involved in the Men's Ministry, attending several retreats, and in the construction of the new Church. He also enjoyed spending time with family, building puzzles and working in the garden.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (Tobler) Davidson, and by his four children, Charles F. Davidson, Jr., and his fiancée, Anne O'Connor, of Ipswich, MA, Paul H. Davidson of Danvers, MA, John W. Davidson and his wife Lisa of West Peabody, MA, and Suzanne L. Richer and her husband Ronald of Exeter NH.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Charles, III, Jennifer, Tara, Christina, Rachael, Matthew and Thomas Davidson, and Ronald and Sophia Richer. He was the brother of Mildred Allen and Louise Murphy of Arizona, and A. Joseph Davidson of Claremont and Edward G. Davidson of Raymond. He was predeceased by his brothers, William A., Robert, George L., John A. and Richard T. Davidson.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow Village, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 12:00 PM at The Rockingham Church, 90 Newton Road, Plaistow, NH, 03865.
