Charles E. Brown Jr, 68, was born on March 15, 1946, in Fayette, Mississippi, to Charles Edward Brown Senior and Evelyn Gilchrist. Charles came from a large family of 11 brothers and sisters.

Charles lived and worked in Los Angeles for most of his adulthood. Charles worked for the Lennox School District as Head Custodian for over 20 years and retired in 2010. He was a very independent , strong, hard working man. He loved listening to Blues music and whenever he wasn't working hard you could find him playing hard at the Hollywood Park or Santa Anita Racetracks.

On February 13, 2014 Charles was stricken with multiple debilitating seizures that had placed him into a coma for a month. Although he was able to come to, and was alert for a few months, he did not come through unscathed. Along with other multiple health issues his medical condition took a toll on him and was stricken with a Brain Aneurysm. Charles passed on June 13, 2014.

Charles Edward Brown Jr. is survived by his two daughters Venice Latham (Albert) and Wanda Bengtzen (Silas), his three Grandchildren Aiyanna, Nia and Zachary Bengtzen, sisters Alice and Agnes Griffin, Brothers Adam, Roosevelt, Isiah (Carrie), Willie D (Sharon) and Herman Brown and a number of dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
