Chao Tien Liu

Mr. Chao Tien Liu, a beloved father and a patriotic citizen of the Republic of China, passed away on November 29, 2012, in Torrance, California, where he had resided for almost 20 years since his retirement from public services in his home country. Mr. Liu was born on June 8, 1920 in the province of Jian Xi, China, as the third son to an educated scholar. Unfortunately, he dealt with a challenging childhood after he lost his parents when he was barely a teenager. But he persevered, and those later years of civil turmoil in China strengthened his desire of devoting himself to public services for the country that he loved dearly. From enlisting himself to the Youth Battalion following President Chiang Kai Shek to taking the prominent post as the Secretary General of Taiwan Provincial Government in the Republic of China, his political footprint exemplified himself as well respected leader at every level and as strong advocate for every walks of life. To his children, he imported distinct value of loyalty and individual integrity upon all of them. His later years in retirement gave him the opportunity to savor his volumes of cherished books and also the company of his wife as his life time companion. Mr. Chao Tien Liu had more than 92 years of frugal and yet achieving life. He was survived by his beloved wife, five sons and their families.
