Chan Ho Park passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on November 28, 2024 at the age of 87, with his children and grandchildren by his side.
Born in South Korea in 1937, he embodied the American dream. He moved to the United States in pursuit of a better life for himself and his family, and he accomplished just that. He quickly learned English and then earned his B.S. from Cal Poly Pomona. He was a gifted and successful businessman who embodied the entrepreneurial spirit. And above all, he achieved the ultimate success: raising two daughters in whom he instilled his soft-heartedness, passion, and grit, and loving and being loved by his entire family.
Chan Ho lived his life with an infectious positivity and zeal for life that will continue to inspire everyone whose life he touched. He sacrificed to set his children and grandchildren up for success, and he proved that with perseverance, grit, and hard work, anything is possible. He put others before himself, and he shared his passions with those around him. His smile reminded us that no matter what we’re going through, there’s always something to celebrate.
He is survived by his sisters, Chan Hee Jheong and Chan Ja Hong; his daughters, Jenna and Cindy; and his grandchildren: Eli Park Adler, Jakob Park Adler, Mason Park Kim, and Paige Corinne Kim, all of whom brought him immense joy. Chan Ho was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Young Ai Ham, as well as his parents, Hyun Seo Park and Jin Rye Kim, and his sister, Chan Sook.
A funeral service to celebrate Chan Ho's life will be held on December 17, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM at the Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills - Old North Church in Los Angeles, California.
