Cesar Babista Torres

Cesar Babista Torres, 68, born on April 9, 1949, in Manila, Philippines, passed away March 18, 2018. He resided in Norwalk, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Born the fifth child of the late Alfredo and Josefina Torres in Manila, Philippines he attended Legarda Elementary School, La Salle High School, and De La Salle College graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

He worked at Reynolds Philippines and a Real Estate Development company prior to immigrating to the USA in the late 1970's where he worked mainly in the Quality Control Engineering departments of several aerospace companies prior to his forced early retirement due to a stroke suffered in the early 2000's.

He also served as a two-term president of the Lucbanian Association of Southern California in the early to mid 1990's.

He never married and is survived by his siblings Sonia, Hector, and Charitt together with his niece Heidi and nephews Thom, Brian, Eric, Jason, Jeremy and Chris and grandnieces Emma and Eliza, and grandnephews Nico, Alex, Tristan and Trevor.
