Cesar Gooco Resplandor

Cesar G. Resplandor, 80, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 20, 2020 after passing peacefully at home in West Covina, CA.

His legacy continues to live on, as he is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Edna, his daughter, Candice, son-in-law, Cyril, granddaughters, Carys and Chloe, his daughter, Colleen, son-in-law, Brian, grandsons, Chase and Bryce, and his son, Christopher.

Born to Isidoro and Caridad Resplandor on May 27, 1940, "Bobby" was raised in the Philippines and was one of eight siblings, Rolando, (the late) Remedios, (the late) Milagros, Manuelito, Delfin, Danilo, and (the late) Leodegario.

A graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology, College of Electrical Engineering in 1962, he began his 58-year career as an electrical engineer. Initially, he left the Philippines with his wife because of an opportunity to work in Guam and eventually immigrated to the United States, in search of a better life. Because of his diligent work ethic with Ralph M. Parsons Corporation and Jacobs Engineering Group, he was called to work in Dallas, Texas, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Only retiring, to help raise his grandchildren.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, using his hands as a craftsman, and listening and singing music from his favorite artists, Elvis and Frank Sinatra. His hobbies included drawing and learning languages. He played tennis, practiced Aikido, and was an avid golfer. He loved watching golf and tennis tournaments as well as boxing and MMA fights.

He will be missed by his family and friends, who will always remember his loveable sense of humor and generous heart.
