Celia Mendez Coria

Celia Mendez Coria, 80, born on April 4, 1933, in La Jolla, Michoacan, Mexico, passed away June 4, 2013. She resided in Burbank, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California. Sister, Aunt, Wife, Very LOVING Mother, Great Grandmother Godmother & Dear Friend to many unconditionally. My Mom, was one of the most brightest loving & forgiving spirits in the world, thank you Mom for loving all your children & giving everything up to make them happy, since the day we were all born. Cooking & Gardening was our Mom's true love & passion, and always sharing her fruits, vegetables & teas from her garden with anyone who would come visit her & even when she would visit, friends & family. We will miss all those moments dearly. One day my son Jonathan was told by his Grandma be careful because there's a PICA, so Jon didn't understand what PICA meant, so he sat in the bowl of nopales & YIKES!!! Grama rushes to pluck the pricks out of his bottom. Jonathan to this day remembers his G-Ma Celia telling him that story many times.
