Cathy Feinstein Molever

August 26, 1952 — March 6, 2018

Cathy Feinstein Molever peacefully passed away on March 6, 2018, surrounded by family and love. Cathy is survived by husband Jeff; daughter Jamie Greenspan (Eric), son Ben; grandsons Max and Meyer Greenspan; brothers Lee and Steve (Linda) Feinstein, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and an amazing group of forever friends. Cathy was predeceased by father Norlie and mother Shirley Feinstein. Born in Aberdeen and growing up in Mitchell, South Dakota, Cathy spent her days cheerleading and working at the Corn Palace and Feinstein's clothing store. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law. In 1980, she spent a semester in Los Angeles, where she met and fell in love with Jeff. They started a family and Cathy paused her law career to focus on raising her children. She thrived in this role, spending her days volunteering at school as Room Mom, advocating for advanced education, watching Jamie's dance competitions, and cheering Ben on in sports. After fourteen years in southern California, the family moved to Minneapolis, where they stayed over twenty years and built a thriving law firm. In 2016, Cathy and Jeff moved back to Palm Springs to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Cathy loved lunches with friends, singing and reading with her grandkids, golfing with Jeff and Ben, walking and fishing the Minneapolis lakes, and rooting for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Jamie will miss their nonstop calls and family "girl time." Cathy was effortlessly elegant, always proper, deeply caring, constantly doing for others, and always interested in new hobbies or activities. Cathy and Jeff enjoyed 36 years of marriage, displaying what unconditional love and dedication means. She inspired us all with her courage, strength and grace as she battled cancer over the past year. Cathy amazed her doctors and caregivers with her sharp questions and constant kindness. Cathy's family and friends are deeply grateful for her oncology team and the Eisenhower Medical Center staff. She will be deeply missed every day. Funeral services 10:00am Friday, March 9, 2018, at Forest Lawn Cemetery 69855 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234. In lieu of flowers, Cathy's family would be honored with donations to the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis Feinstein/Dworsky/Molever Fund at 5905 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55442.
