Cathy was born on Thursday February 25th, 1954 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, CA on a warm and sunny day! She was born with a full head of black hair and a big smile. Unlike her brother and sister who gave their parents a run for their money, Cathy was an easygoing baby who ruled the roost from the day she got home. When Cathy was 3 years old, she took it upon herself to tour the neighborhood all on her own in a pink sun suit. After the boys rode bikes all over the neighborhood and her parents searched in every backyard around, they found her sitting in front of Liberace's house sucking on a lemon. When Cathy was a little girl she could do anything she wanted and get away with it and then Billy and Linda would end up taking the fall. And while Cathy may have let her brother Billy and sister Linda take the fall, her devotion to them continued throughout her life. Cathy has always been very assertive and bold and when she was in kindergarten at Bethel Lutheran School she was supposed to go to Adventure Camp one afternoon but looked up at the bus driver with her hands on her hips and in her bold little voice shouted "I QUIT and I MEAN IT!!" And after that, she never returned to camp. As Cathy got older, that uncompromising attitude never left her. In her teenage years, she lived life to her fullest with her closest friends and somehow they never got caught. As Cathy got older and a little wiser, she decided to follow in her family's footsteps and go into the garment business. She was a confident girls girl in a mans world and was never intimidated and if she was, no one ever knew it. She was an entrepreneur from a young age conquering the business world in her little blue Mercedes convertible. During this time, she was living with her sister down at the beach in Belmont Shores having the time of her life and taking a few tequila shots along the way. While Cathy was living down at the beach, she met Gerry Reissman and they proceeded to build a life and a family together. They had two wonderful children, Bryan and Jennifer, who then became her entire world. Life moved on but her entrepreneurial spirit never left her. She continued in the business world, opening up 'Round the Clock Cleaners with Gerry and then her own Kinko's store a few years later. Changes occurred in her life and she eventually married Barry Perrou and they spent their time traveling the world. She played multiple tennis matches a week, spent time with her kids and family, and always lived life to the fullest. One of her greatest pleasures in life was the relationship she shared with her mother and father. Her last business venture started as an investment and led to something that changed her life in more ways than one. It taught her how to take care of herself, in mind, body, and spirit. This venture wasn't so much about the money as it was about helping others and her self. Double Helix Water changed her forever. Cathy will always be remembered for her loving nature, lighting up a room whenever she walked in, that wink she gave to make you feel like you were the most important person in her world, the confidence she carried, that sense of never giving up or being afraid to fail, loving the finer things in life, her tact and passion for everything she did, her wit and charm, her ability to sell ice to an Eskimo, her eternal optimism, her everlasting smile, her unconditional love for her children and always having fun no matter what she did. Cathy is now resting peacefully with her best friend and sister Linda in the heavens above.
