Catherine V. Zingg

Atkinson, NH: Catherine V. (Happe) Zingg, 90, died February 25, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Basking Ridge, NJ, daughter of the late F. Boyd and Helen (Sherren) Happe, she was educated in Bernardsville, NJ and graduated with Bernards High School's Class of 1940.

A file clerk at Prudential Insurance in Newark, NJ and Bell Labs in Whippany, NJ; she also worked at J.M. Fields store in Haverhill.

An avid reader, Mrs. Zingg was a member of the Atkinson Kimball Library Book Club.  She was an avid bird watcher and golfer and was a past winner of the "Presidents Cup"' Tournament at the Old Newbury Golf Club.  She also enjoyed quilting and sewing.

The wife of the late Donald P. Zingg, survivors include her son Curtis B. Zingg of Atkinson; one sister Doris Bush of Basking Ridge, NJ; and two nephews Alan Bush of Basking Ridge and Scott Bush of Oakland, CA.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH  03865.  A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Donations can be made in Catherine's name to the Friends of Kimball Public Library, 5 Academy Ave., Atkinson, NH 03811 or the Massachusetts Audubon Society, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA  01773, Attn: Development Office.
