Catalina Castillo Cabezas passed away on April 21, 2016 at home surrounded by friends and family after a difficult battle with neuroendocrine cancer. Catalina was born April 5, 1948 in Tlacotepec, Guerrero, Mexico. She was the fifth of ten children born to Secundino and Beatriz Castillo. She came to the United States on her own as a young woman. She married Luis and they settled down in the Los Angeles area where they raised three children.

Catalina is survived by her husband Luis; children David (Jennifer), Adrian (Nadia) and Paola (Carlos); grandchildren Andrew, Amelia, Edith with two more on the way; her mother, Beatriz; brothers Roberto-Zenon, Javier and Samuel; sisters Elena, Leonor, Victorina, Beatriz and Herlinda; and countless extended family and friends.
