Carolyn RoheTryer, 105, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt and friend passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025 in San Diego, CA. She was daughter of Clifford Rohe and Loretta Kelly Rohe, born on April 15, 1919, in Los Angeles, CA. She was the fifth child of nine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Tryer, her son, Fritz Tryer and her son-in-law, Charlie Dulaney as well as her parents and her siblings and their spouses Mary, Virginia, Bob (Jane), Barbara (Rudy), Jack, Patricia (Paul), Natalie (Bill) and Charlotte. She is survived by 4 daughters Lori(Chuck) Koerner, Kristi (Dennis) Cain, Jani (Tom) Kurland and Kiki Dulaney. In addition she leaves 13 grandchildren Jeb, Kara, John, Beth, Colleen, Emily, Lissa, Laurel, Jessica, Jennifer, Jaime, Mike and Kati and 22 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Carol lived an amazing life. She was a transcriber and office manager for over 30 years for Harry who was a court reporter. When they retired she became an avid quilter and loved to work in her garden. After Harry passed, she began traveling and attending live theatre. Well into her 80s and 90s she visited Hawaii, Oregon, Chicago, Wisconsin, England, Germany, and Ireland. She enjoyed family holidays, especially the cooking and baking. She would always make her famous cheesecake for family events to the delight of all family and guests.She loved children and loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a deep love for the many hummingbirds and butterflies that frequented her garden.
Carol grew up in Los Angeles and moved to the San Fernando Valley in the 1940s. She lived in the same house Van Nuys (Sherman Oaks) until 1999 when she moved to San Diego to be closer to family. It was then she began watching baseball and was even able to attend a special Padre baseball game in the owners' box when she was 102.

Carol will be laid to rest next to her beloved Harry at Forest Lawn, Hollywood hills on February 6, 2025.
