Carolyn "Carol" Freeman, born on April 4, 1930, in Topeka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, in Rancho Mirage, California, at the age of 94. Her departure from this world was due to natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family and friends.
As a beloved wife, mother, and sister, Carol's nurturing spirit and unwavering support touched the lives of many. She is survived by her devoted husband, Del Freeman, who stood by her side through all of life's journeys. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership that flourished over the years.
Carol is also remembered dearly by her children, including her daughter Cindy (Holden) Fausnaugh, as well as her stepdaughters, Lori Freeman, Terrie Walter (Freeman), and Linda Wells (Freeman). Each of them carries a piece of Carol's warmth and kindness, reflecting the values she instilled throughout her life. She is also survived by her sister, Phylis Miller, whose companionship brought joy to Carol over the years.
Preceding her in death were her son, Kent Holden, and stepdaughter, Tracie Freeman, who were both taken too soon, creating a void that will always be felt by those who loved them.
Carol's life will be celebrated with visitation services on March 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Forest Lawn - Cathedral City - Ramon Chapel, located at 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA, 92234.
In addition, another funeral service will be held at Desert Memorial Park, located at 31-705 Da Vall Drive, Cathedral City, CA, 92234, on March 19, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM.
As friends and family gather to honor her memory, they will undoubtedly find comfort in sharing their stories and reflecting on the impact Carol had on their lives. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, fostering a spirit of love and togetherness that she so cherished.
