April 5, 1937 — January 16, 2021

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Carolina Cabrito Funtanilla, 83, born on April 5, 1937, in Narvacan, Ilocus Sur, Philippines. Since 2015 she had persevered and battled stage IV lung cancer until she left us peacefully with family by her side in Los Angeles, CA on January 16, 2021. Carolina was the beloved wife of the late Alex Funtanilla whom she married on December 16, 1964. They came to the U.S. in 1970 and she began her career as a registered nurse in pediatrics. Carolina treasured family and adored all her children and grandchildren. She was the dearly loved mother of Neptali, Aleli, Juliette, and Roy. She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle, Adam, Kayli, Alexis, Alyssa, and Madison.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California. Funeral services will be held on March 9, 2021 at 2:30pm.
