Carole Joan Owens, 71, born on October 13, 1942, in Quincy, Massachusetts to Bernard Pica and Mary Caliacco, passed away August 30, 2014. She resided in Anaheim, California, at the time of her passing. She moved to Los Alamitos in 1954 and graduated from Western High School in 1960. She was retired after working for the County Assessors Office and Orange County Fire Authority. She leaves behind a loving husband of 38 years Jimmy Owens, daughters Lisa Asman and Gia Mendez, sons Jon Muir, Jim Owens and Eric Owens. She had 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was survived by her brother Bernard Pica. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. The service will be held on Monday September 8, 2014 at 11:30 am in the Church of Our Fathers at Forest Lawn, Cypress. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to breast cancer research in her honor.
