Carole Modica-Blumeti

Carole Louise Blumetti, 82, of Desert Edge, California passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, less than a week before her 83rd birthday.

She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1940. Carole graduated from John Burrows High School in Burbank, California. She was married to Thomas Blumetti (who cared for her lovingly through the end of her days). She was previously married to Robert Larson (with whom she had two sons),

Carole grew up in Burbank, California where she developed her passion for horses. She also lived in Japan before settling down in the San Fernando Valley to raise her two sons.  During this time, she earned her Real Estate License and started her 41-year career in real estate.  She moved to her “forever” home of Desert Edge, California (known as Desert Hot Springs at the time) in 1992 in search of a slower pace where she enjoyed daily soaks in the mineral pool.  While there, she met and married her husband, Thomas Blumetti and they pursued their passion for travel, Disney cruises and living life to the fullest.  She enjoyed time with friends and family and was a regular at group gatherings in her community. 

She is survived by Thomas Blumetti (husband), Lance Larson and Todd Larson (children), Thelma and Dilly (daughter-in-laws), Tommy Blumetti (stepson). She will always be fondly remembered as Nana by all her grandchildren (Kirsten, Nick, Josh, Bradley, Riley, Jeffrey, Ozzy and Kaylah).

A public viewing will be held on March 27, 2023 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City.  A burial ceremony will be held on March 28, 2023 at 10:45 at Riverside National Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held after the burial ceremony (details TBD).
