Carol Ann Uhern

Carol Ann Uhern, 79, March 25, 1940 July 4, 2019: Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Carol, died in her home in Palm Desert CA with her husband of 61 years by her side after a long hard fight with cancer. Carol was born in Illinois to Roy and Netta Platt and raised on a farm the oldest of 5. At just 16 years old she met Jack Uhern and two short years later they married. After Jack was drafted into the Army Carol joined him to live on base at Ft. Benning GA where their only son John was born in January 1960. Jack and Carol lived in Glendale California for 28 years where she worked as an office manager before residing in Palm Desert for the last 26 years. Carol's favorite part of the day was sitting on her patio watching the many hummingbirds that came to visit. Carol loved the outdoors and camping with her family. Carol loved to do crafts. She made beautiful ceramic pieces and custom greeting cards. Carol loved playing bingo with her friends on Friday night. This fun, loving, nurturing, grandmother and great-grandmother loved her babies. Her face sure lit up whenever she had a little one in her arms. Carol will be missed by many. Carol is survived by her husband Jack, two siblings Gary and Scott, son John and daughter in law Lisa, 3 grandchildren Valerie, Kevin and Dillon also 3 great grandchildren Warren, Eli and Abram.
