Carol Sue Thompson

April 21, 1946 — January 11, 2021

Carol Sue Thompson, 74, of Apple Valley, CA, entered heaven Monday morning, January 11, 2021, at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, John Thompson; daughter, Natalie McDonald; sisters Betsy Click and Connie Moore; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carol was born April 21, 1946 in Gallipolis Ferry, OH, daughter of the late Bessie B Meadows and Jake D Wallis. Carol graduated from El Monte High School in El Monte, CA, and was married to Charles W Click for 39 years. Several years after Charles' passing, she married John Thompson and enjoyed her "second chance at love."

Carol's life was dedicated to God and her family. She was known for her non-stop energy and zest for life. She helped start two churches, and recently enjoyed working with the homeless in Victor Valley. She was always organizing festivities or cooking big meals for family, friends, or strangers in need. Carol loved music, whether dancing at military balls with Charles, listening to her husband and daughter sing at church, or later in life learning to play the bass guitar to perform with John at various community events.

Carol will be buried at a family graveside service at Forest Lawn Covina Hills on Thursday, February 25th. A memorial service will be planned sometime later in 2021.

Throughout her life and unto her passing, Carol had an abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Her family is comforted by their confidence she is in the presence of God. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The Name Ministries https://thenameministries.startsites.org or The Victorville Warming Shelter https://www.paypal.com/donate/?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=A8QFU2ERDAHQE&source=url.
