Carol Marchio

In loving memory of Carol Rae Marchio

September 2, 1940 - March 4, 2025

Carol was born in Akron, Ohio to Kathryn Mary Lucas and Arthur Raymond Lucas. She was raised with her three sisters Pat, Lana and Jackie. Carol had several careers during her life. She was a department store clerk, a clerical worker, worked on an assembly line, a telephone operator, a nurses aide and medical assistant. She was also a semi truckdriver. But the one career she was most proud of was getting her degree as a fashion designer, where she got to travel to London. 

Carol was a be-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She recently lived in Ontario, CA and has lived in Southern California most of her life. 

She is survived by her four children: Dawn, Todd, Tom and John. She was blessed with eight grandchildren Virginia, Christopher, Thomas, Victoria, Samantha, William and Robert, along with five great grand-children Michael, Christopher Jr., Raelynn, Danielle and Jeremiah. She is also survived by her sisters Pat, Lana and Jackie, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Despite many of life's challenges she always smiled and made friends wherever she went. Her nickname was blue eyes and her favorite saying was "Nothing is worth more than today". The love of her life was her husband Luciano Marchio who preceded her in 2013. She loved music, dancing, reading, writing and sewing.

Without the burden of her medical conditions, she is up in heaven smiling down on all of us, enjoying her time with her parents, grand-son (Christopher) and her beloved husband Luciano. Until we see each other again!
