Carol Lee Martin (Olson) passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on March 20, 2025, in Simi Valley California. Born in Inglewood, California, she was the cherished daughter of Robert F. Olson and Lenora O. Olson (Clementson). Carol graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1966.

On June 10, 1967, Carol and James F. Martin ran off to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they eloped. Together, they raised a beautiful family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always making time for those she loved.

Carol is survived by her loving, daughter Jennifer L. Grogg (Martin), son-in-law James A. Grogg, grandchildren Sean M. Grogg, Alanni M. Grogg, and Johnny Grogg, son Robert J. Martin, daughter-in-law Jennifer L. Martin (Forrester), son Rand Martin, daughter-in-law Mackenzie Martin, and her sisters Gloria J. Roberts (Olson) and Joyce E. Hayman (Olson). She was also predeceased by her beloved Husband, James F. Martin, and brother, John E. Olson, and her parents.

Carol’s children have described her as a pillar of inspiration, strength, supportive, loving and caring.

Professionally, Carol had a distinguished career in the credit union industry, working with Premier America Federal Credit Union (formerly Litton Employees Credit Union), and Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union. She retired in 2019 after many years of dedicated service. In her retirement, Carol continued to serve her community, generously volunteering with the Kiwanis of Simi Valley, Simi Valley Police Citizens on Patrol, Simi Valley Council On Aging Executive Board, and the Simi Valley Senior Center from 2015 to 2025.

Carol's star will always shine brightly, CONSTELLATION PISCES R-1-42-13, D-05-43, as this star was named in her honor. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has left behind a legacy of love, family, and service; with her unique spirit shining brightly through all who knew her.
