Carol Jean Luster

May 21, 1937 — February 11, 2021

On February 11, 2021, Carol Jean Luster, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in the city of Laguna Hills, CA

Carol is survived by her children:

Sherry Lemken, Larry Luster, Sr. and Brenda Golestan-Parast

She s predeceased by her son David Allen Luster.

She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grand children to date.

Carol Jean Luster (Lindsey) was born on May 21, 1937, to Gordon and Katherine Lindsey in Wells, Michigan, a small town in upper Michigan. She grew up next to a river and the great lakes. She loved the water.

Her siblings included:

Lucille, Lloyd, Gerald, Dwayne & Catherine

Her family relocated to Suite Saint Marie, Canada, where she was raised. Carol was not a fan of the cold. She was drawn to the sun and longed to live in a warm place near the ocean as she would browse through magazines featuring sun soaked sandy beaches. Carol met her husband, Arthur Wesley Luster, known as Art, while working in a Chinese restaurant in Canada.
Art's mother lived in Los Angeles. Carol seized the opportunity to live in sunny Southern California, so she and Art relocated to Los Angeles.

Eventually they purchased a home in La Puente, CA. Carol was a housewife for many years. She also did many jobs including having her own cleaning business and providing care for some very special women with developmental disabilities. She remained in La Puente for over 20 years where she raised her four kids. She always provided a nice comfortable home for her children.

Carol eventually relocated to Laguna Hills, CA and remained in the area until her passing.

Carol was always willing to help her children, no matter what age they were. She was also a very good friend to those who were blessed to call her friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

If the weather was warm you could find her at the pool, her favorite pastime. If the weather was rainy, you would find her in her kitchen making chili. She also enjoyed making tacos, drinking a cold beer, and taking yoga and water aerobic classes.

Carol loved traveling to Hawaii and Laughlin. She went to the beach every chance she could get. Her local favorite was San Clemente.

Carol will be deeply missed and has left a great legacy for her family.

God bless her soul. Until we meet again my dear.
