Carol Jean Kelsey

Carol Jean Kelsey, 77, born on March 11, 1943 in Fairmont West Virginia to Charles R. Russell and Tillma Jean Romine and passed away February 18, 2021. Her family left West Virginia when she was eight years old and moved to Needles California where they lived for two years. They then moved to Hawthorne California for a brief period and moved to several other locations in California but ended up in Rosemead California where she grew up. As a youth she enjoyed participating in modern dance. She graduated from Rosemead High School in 1961. She married the love of her life Roger Lynn Kelsey October 21, 1961. They have lived in San Bernardino county since getting married. They recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

She supported her husband and sons as a team mother and avid cheer leader in many sports activities. The family participated in soccer, baseball, fishing, and boating. Camping also filled much of the family time

She worked for Hallmark Greeting Cards restocking shelves in various stores in San Bernardino county with greeting cards.

She resided in Upland, CA at the time of her passing. Preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Roger and their three sons: Jeffery Lynn (Rina), Scott Charles (Kellie), and Brian Sidney (Tiffany), nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Interment will be held at Forest Lawn in Covina Hills on March 20, 2021 at 2:30.
