Haverhill: Carol (Noyes) Fetty, 66, of Haverhill passed away on June 12, 2013, at Amesbury Village, Amesbury, after a long illness. She was born in Haverhill on September 29, 1946, daughter of the late Earl and Rose (Carrier) Noyes. She was the wife of Ralph Fetty, with whom she celebrated forty-four years of marriage.
Mrs. Fetty graduated from Saint James High School with the Class of 1965. She worked for over thirty years as a ward secretary at the former Hale Hospital, in Haverhill, before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked at Desert Springs Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Saint James Parish, Haverhill.
Her activities followed the cycle of the year. When her children were young, Mrs. Fetty was a member of the Haverhill Country Club so her children could swim and compete. In the winter she worked at Bradford Ski Tow so her children could learn to ski and compete. In the fall she harvested her garden and "put up " stores for the winter. Using a skill she learned from her father, she would search for wild grapes, which she turned into grape juice and jelly. She was a gifted homemaker who knit and crocheted, skills she learned from her mother. From Carol, a gift was usually something hand crafted.
Her greatest achievement was her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Michael and his wife, Jeanne of Walla Walla, Washington; Matthew and his wife, Paula of Atkinson, NH; Christopher and his wife, Kelli of Bradford and Kevin and a daughter, Colleen, both of Haverhill. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Patrick, Julia, Nicholas, Matthew, Daniel, Benjamin, Samantha, Joshua, Megan, Gracie, Piper and Caroline Fetty and by two step-grandsons, Aaron and Ryan Fredette; by her brother, Richard Noyes of Hampstead, NH; and by several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by life-long friends including Robert and June Riley whose daughters were like her daughters and sisters to her children. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister, Shirley Noyes Earp and her brother, Robert Noyes.
