Carol Ann Buchel Van Steenbergen

Carol Ann Buchel Van Steenbergen, 57, of Rome, passed away August 10, 2014 in her home in Buena Park, California with her loving family by her side.  She was born on July 26, 1957 in Rome, a daughter of Vito and Mary Riolo Sparace.  On May 28, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada she married her beloved husband, Sven R. Buchel VanSteenbergen.   She was born and raised in Rome New York and attended Rome Free Academy with her siblings before moving to California after graduation. 

 
Carol worked for Rohr Industries and retired in 2005.  Along with being a hard worker, she was an amazing Mom.  Carol is survived by her beloved family and was blessed with her 6 children Michael, Vincent, Daniel, Catrina, Kevin, and Jennifer along with her ten grandchildren.  Carol is survived by her brothers and their spouses, Louis and Mindy Sparace of Centerville and Victor and Lisa Sparace of Las Vegas, NV.

Carols contagious laughter, beautiful smile and exuberant spirit will always be remembered.  She was always giving and caring for her family and others.  Carol has left us on earth, but is now at peace and is reunited in the arms of her parents in the care of Heaven.
