Carmine Pilichi, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, has passed away at the age of 91 in Cypress, California. Born on July 15, 1932, in Greenwich, Connecticut to Adeline Pilichi, Carmine lived a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful accomplishments.

Carmine pursued his passion for engineering in aerospace field. He dedicated his career to Rockwell International and made significant contributions to the space shuttle program.

His quirky and funny personality always brought joy to those around him. He loved spending time with his family and made cherished memories with them. Whether it was through heartfelt conversations or shared adventures, he nurtured deep connections with his loved ones.

One of his greatest joys was spending time with friends from his Corvette club. Carmine loved to talk and had an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went. His friendly personality drew people towards him, creating lasting friendships that enriched his life.

In his free time, Carmine enjoyed tinkering around and in his garage. Known for his exceptional skills in fixing things, he was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends in need. If he couldn't find the right part or purchase what he needed, he would ingeniously create it himself. His resourcefulness and determination were unmatched.

Carmine's adventurous spirit led him to explore the depths of the ocean as a certified scuba diver. He embarked on dive trips to islands in the South Pacific, Asia, and the Caribbean. His love for the beach and oceanside experiences brought him immense joy as he delved into the mesmerizing underwater world.

Carmine proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His dedication to serving his country exemplified his unwavering commitment and selflessness.

Carmine's battle with prostate cancer is a testament to his strength and resilience. Though faced with adversity, he approached each day with courage and determination, inspiring everyone around him.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 63 years. Marleen Pilichi, who stood beside him through thick and thin. Carmine was a devoted father to his daughters Cindy Campbell (husband Regg Campbell), and Michele Vaughn (husband Don Vaughn), grandchgrandchildren Rachel, Robert, Andrew, Kelly, Jessica, and Ryan, great ggrandchildren Summer, Ivy, an Lennon. He cherished his family deeply and created an atmosphere of love that will continue to resonate through the generations.

Carmine's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. However, the memories he created, the lessons he imparted, and the laughter he shared will forever remain etched in our hearts.

A funeral service in honor of Carmine Pilichi will be held on September 23, 2023, at the Patriots Chapel in Forest Lawn - Cypress, located at 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA 90630. The service will commence at 11:30 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM. This gathering of family and friends will provide an opportunity to celebrate his remarkable life.
