Carmen Lenuta Hunter was born October 22, 1958 in Arad, Romania. She was the only child to Ileana Lucea and Leonil Ampoitan. She grew up surrounded by her loving friends and family spending summers assisting on the their farm where she enjoyed camping, shooting and spending time engrossed in nature. She graduated from high school and attended college in Romania before emigrating to the U.S. with her mother to settled in Burbank, CA.

Carmen began working at Interstate Electric where she met the love of her life, Michael Joseph Hunter. They were married and settled in Lakewood California where they had two children - Alexandra and Jonathan. Carmen and Michael had many happy years together until his untimely death in 2005.

Carmen was a survivor. She endured many medical conditions and was an advocate for herself. She was strong willed, never afraid to voice her opinion, kind and loved her family. She also loved playing golf, traveling, catching up with her Romanian family and friends, and having lunch with her friends here in the U.S. Carmen passed away at age 67.

Today Carmen is survived by her mother Ileana, daughter Alex with son-in-law Billy, son Jon with daughter-in-law Ashleigh and one granddaughter Savannah. She was a beloved daughter, mother, buni, cousin, and friend. We miss you deeply, will always love you and know that you are resting in peace.
