Sandown, NH: Carmen M. DeCarlo, 77, a resident of Sandown, NH since 1981, died on February 5, 2016 in Margate, FL.

Born on April 1, 1938 in Stoneham, MA, son of the late Mario and Elsa (Commito) DeCarlo, he was raised and educated in Everett, MA. He graduated from Everett High School with the Class of 1956, where he was Center for the Varsity Football Team. Following his graduation from high school, Mr. DeCarlo served in the United Sates Army National Guard for eight years.

Mr. DeCarlo was the owner and operator of All Seasons Heating of Sandown, NH, which he established in 1985. He was first employed by his late father at Frenchy's Oil Company of Everett before he established his own business, Sunrise Heating of Winchester, MA.

Mr. DeCarlo was a former resident of Malden, MA from 1964 to 1973 and Winchester, MA from 1973 to 1981. He was a summertime resident of Sandown since 1971 until he became a full time resident in 1981.

A member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead and the Greater Haverhill Art Association, Mr. DeCarlo was an accomplished artist in watercolor and pastels and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed being a wintertime resident of Coconut Creek, FL since 2003. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren teaching them how to enjoy life on the lake.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Anne (Lancian) DeCarlo, two sons, James L. DeCarlo of Sandown, and Paul A. DeCarlo and his wife Tammie of Chuluota, FL, two daughters, MaryAnne Iandolo and Julie D. Nesto both of Sandown, a sister, Frances "Cookie" Rossetti of Dracut, MA, six grandchildren, three great grandsons, and four nephews. He was predeceased by his sons, Peter J. DeCarlo in 1970 and Michael C. DeCarlo in 2009, his brother, Mario DeCarlo in 1979, and his son-in-law, Dominic R. Iandolo in 2011.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. DeCarlo's Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will begin on Thursday at 8:45 p.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. Burial with the rendering of Military Honors will take place in the spring in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow. Memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Charities of New Hampshire, 215 Myrtle St, Manchester, NH 03104.
