Carmelita A. Vasquez- Howard

Carmelita A. Vasquez-Howard, 85, born on August 28, 1927, in Indang Cavite, Philippines, passed away April 13, 2013. She resided in North Hollywood, California at the time of her passing. She leaves her children: Linda V. E. Anloague, Evelyn St. Therese, David (Jr) Escober and his wife Pinky Arana Escober. Grandchildren: Jason & Joy Bitonio. Sisters: Lina and Eva. * She was preceded in death by her only brother Clemente (Totoy) and her husband N.L. Howard (Pop). Mom (Ate Ita) arrived in California in 1947. She graduated from San Pedro High School and later graduated in 1954 with the first LVN class at Los Angeles Harbor College. She worked at Harbor General UCLA Hospital and later owned Howard Home Board and Care for 31yrs, which was recognized by the V.A. for exceptional care provided to the Veterans. Memorial Service was in the Church on the Hills at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, Saturday, April 27, @ 12:30pm. Arrangements were under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA.
