Carlotta Clymer, a vibrant soul born on August 17, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully in Glendale on December 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with liver cancer and metastatic bone cancer. She faced her illness with grace and resilience, spending her final weeks under hospice care, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carlotta was a multifaceted individual, known for her career as a waitress and bartender—skills that showcased her outgoing and fun-loving personality. She also dedicated a significant part of her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. A graduate of trade school for dental assisting, she combined her professional pursuits with a profound love for life.
Those who knew Carlotta fondly remember her as spontaneous and adventurous. She embraced the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed riding horses, a passion she held dear her entire life. For over seventy years, she found joy galloping through the trails of Griffith Park, forming deep connections with numerous horses over the years, most notably her beloved Lil Sweetheart. Alongside her equestrian pursuits, Carlotta adored animals, particularly her loyal black lab, Griffith, who accompanied her on many adventures.
Her vibrant personality shone through in every aspect of her life. Carlotta was loving, thoughtful, and outspoken, ensuring her words and actions were always genuine and to the point. She had an affinity for the color red and a special affection for hearts, reflecting her warm spirit and zest for life.
Carlotta is survived by her son, Philip Bagwell, and her daughter, Carlotta Redcloud, who cherished her deeply. She leaves behind son-in-law James Redcloud, along with her two beloved grandchildren, Amanda Redcloud and Jake Redcloud, who will carry forward her legacy of love and adventure. Her family extends to a caring network of nieces and nephews: Monique Bautista, Julia Reasons, Jade Bramon, Gilbert Bautista, Martin Lucas, Richard Bramon, Danny Bramon, Joey Bramon, Vincent Perez, Gilbert Bautista Jr., Gabriel Bautista, Nico Bautista, and Ethan Lucas, all of whom will miss her profoundly.
Carlotta was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Bramon, father Donald Bramon, husband George Clymer, sister Linda Lucas, and brother Paul Bramon. Her love and memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Funeral Service will be held in her honor on January 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale - Wee Kirk o' the Heather, located at 1712 South Glendale Avenue, Glendale, CA, 91205. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Carlotta Clymer, a woman whose spirit and love for adventure will continue to inspire and unite her family until they meet again.
