Carlos Reyes
Serrano
Oct 18, 1944 — Jun 20, 2026
Carlos “Lito” Serrano came into this world in Manila, Philippines, on October 18, 1944. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in Glendale, California, on June 20, 2026 after a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was the brave and beloved eldest son of Rodolfo Sevilla Serrano and Natividad Hebron Serrano who had ten children. He is preceded in death by siblings Violeta Cruz, Renato Serrano and Enrico Serrano and survived by siblings Alberto Serrano, Myrna de Leon, Teresita Tolentino, Daniel Serrano, Rowena Chingtan and Gina Cruz.
He is survived by his loving wife Consuelo “Marlo” Oliva Serrano and three children: Cecilia Serrano-McLaughlin, Conrad Serrano and Cristina McBride; sons-in-law: Eric McLaughlin and Graham McBride; grandchildren: Lucy and Max McLaughlin, Cuchulainn and Beibhinn McBride and grandpets: Birdy and Pickles McLaughlin, Milo McBride and Monkey Serrano.
He met the love of his life, Consuelo, at work in Manila. On December 13, 1968, they married and soon moved to the United States where they raised a happy and loving family in the Los Angeles area. He worked at Monroe, a division of Litton Industries, until he left to start his own small business. He spent over forty years as the founder and owner of Serv-Ease Office Systems where he showcased his ability to repair anything to help businesses stay up and running seamlessly. As his children often say, “Dad can MacGyver anything!”
Outside of his professional life, he joyfully spent time with friends and family, keeping everyone smiling and laughing. His sharp wit and ingenuity made problem solving effortless. He loved his hats, music, karaoke, dancing, tinkering, inventing and thrift shopping.
Carlos was a treasured father, grandfather, chosen godfather, son and big brother and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to living authentically and fully, laughing often and finding joy in the smallest of things.
