Plaistow, NH: Calvin E. "Cal" Hanks, 66, of Plaistow, died on June 21, 2014 at the Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence, MA surrounded by his loving families.

Born in Bellows Falls, VT, son of the late Clayton E. and Iris M. (Gile) Hanks, he moved to Townsend Harbor, MA where he was raised and educated.

Mr. Hanks was most recently employed as a cross country truck driver for the Jordan Transportation Company of Manchester, NH, and had also worked for a local paving company.

A volunteer fireman in Whitefield, NH, he enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a Life Member of the Harley Owners Group, where he was involved in many charity rides. An accomplished billiards player, he came in third place at the National tournament in Las Vegas, NV, and enjoyed playing locally at the Corner Pocket, which is now known as the Crows Nest. The highlight of his life was being recently reunited with his son and spending the last four years with his loving companion Hazel and her family.

He is survived by his son Keith A. Hanks and his fiancé Adele Erskine of Lancaster, MA, his loving companion Hazel M. Summit of Plaistow, NH and her children, Michael Anderson of Derry, NH, Roger "Rocky" Anderson of Epping, NH, Joseph Summit of Danvers, MA, Dawn Birarelli of Epping, NH, as well as all of Hazel's grandchildren, his brothers, Clayton E. "Gene" Hanks, Jr. of Lunenburg, MA, Robert Hanks of Winchendon, MA, and Roger Hanks of Leominster, MA, his sister, Susan Stockwell of Leominster, MA, two grandchildren, Zachary and Morgyn, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House Charities, Inc., 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673.
