Calvin Abijah Green

Calvin Abijah Green was born in Kingston, Jamaica as the third child to Philip and Dorothy Green on the 29th of November, 1938. He had three brothers and two sisters.

Calvin was a self-made man who was a bit of a workaholic. Still he found time in 1969 to marry his wife, Olive Green. He was a quiet man of very few words; somehow he managed to have many friends, whom he treated well. He was a small man in stature but had a big and giving heart; this made him well-liked wherever he went.

He enjoyed politics, swimming, fitness, dogs and birds, as well as cultivating fruits and vegetables where he could say "this is from the property". He took great pride in everything he did and always strived to do his best.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Olive Green, his children, Alicia, Georgette, Irma, Jean-Pierre and Gregory; Mother: Dorothy Green, Siblings: Etvern and Martell Green, Maureen (Madge) Hamilton and Hyacinth (Blossom) Julien; Daughter-in-law: Glenis Green, Grandchildren: Gabriella Mischa Green, Gianni Green and Gabriella Renae Green and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
