Cal Macabuhay Espina

Cal Macabuhay Espina, 60, passed away on August 20th, 2020. He was born on January 26, 1960, in Long Beach, CA, United States. He was a graduate from Banning High in Wilmington, CA, and upon graduation, immediately enlisted in the US Navy, and served 10 years, his final rank as a Petty Officer in the US Navy. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed in China Lake, California, Sigonella, Italy, and finally, NAS Jacksonville, Florida. During his time abroad, he traveled widely across Europe. After his time in the Navy, he became a long-time employee at the US Postal Service working as a maintenance mechanic. He was an avid biker who loved to go on long-distance bike rides, and regularly competed in bike races. Other avid interests included both line dancing and ballroom dancing. He is survived by his immediate family, his mother, Rizalina Espina, his brother Byron Espina, and his sisters Virginia Espina, Nancy Monzon, Leticia Espina, Annabelle Roybal and Melissa Espina-Spangler,10 nephews and nieces and 13 grand-nephews and -grand-nieces. He was a long-term resident of Long Beach, California.
