Burell Carver Johnson

Burell Carver Johnson, was born on August 10, 1924 in Bessemer, Alabama and passed away on August 22, 2017 at the age of 93 and 12 days. He resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of his passing.
Consummate businessman (because he accomplished so much and made it look easy), world traveller par excellence, devoted family man and loyal friend, B.C. loved good times with great friends, soaring above the clouds in a Beech Baron or down double black diamonds in Utah and Gstaad, golf anytime, anywhere, every single blessed thing Trojan, and a rollicking good joke.
Most of all, he adored his beloved family, the center of his world and of his heart.
To the end he was our lion; fierce, independent, and great-hearted, an impossibly tall tree in whose arms many found shelter, strength, and unwavering love. He was often the only constant voice in a world of shifting sand. When Dad greeted a loved one, it was as though the sun emerged from clouds; his smile and infectious energy brightened any room and any spirit. He was, in the true sense of the word, brilliant.
You will be sorely missed, Dad. You are entirely irreplaceable and unforgettable. We can't wait to see you again; what stories we shall tell. Fight on!
