Buffie Carpenter

December 29, 1944 — July 23, 2016

Buffie Carpenter, Jr., 71, born on December 29, 1944, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to the parents of Buffie and Ina Carpenter Sr.

Buffie attended St. Augustine and St. Matthews School in Louisiana.
Buffie believed in God, read the bible and prayed often. Buffie was baptized at New Nazarene Baptist Church, Bermuda Louisiana, by
Reverend Wardell Coutee. Buffie was a faithful member attending Sunday school, Bible study, and Church regularly. Buffie was also a member of the choir.

Buffie moved to California while still in his teens, he worked at United Airlines, and he also worked at Western Hoagie as a forklift operator.
Buffie's favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and horseback riding.

As an adult Buffie moved back in forth from Louisiana to California for cancer treatments. Buffie appreciated his life on earth and wanted to be with us as long as possible.

Buffie made a change of address on 7-23-2016 to reside with his parents Buffie and Ina Carpenter Sr., his four brothers (Huey, Dewitt, Richard, and Addo Carpenter), two sisters (Jessica Carpenter, Syble Davis) and many relatives and friends.

Buffie has left many memories to reflect on and cherish with others. Memories made with his two brothers Edward (wife Jean), Dan(wife Patsy), two sisters,
Nazzy Pratt, Grace L Lyons all from Los Angeles, California, Mary Carpenter (ex-wife) Palmdale California, Freda McGill (fiancé) Altadena California, and many relatives and friends. These memories will help us celebrate Buffie's life.

Appreciation

Buffie has a special place in his heart for Reverend Wardell Coutee (wife) Kellie Coutee, and Maxine Brown . Buffie would tell me that they were always there when he needed them the MOST. I (Freda -fiancé), want to say THANK YOU from Buffie and myself, you were there for Buffie and you have continued to be there for me.
I miss Buffie we've known each other since 1970 so there is history there. I also feel Buffie is where there is no more suffering, just love and peace forever and ever.

Thanks be to God for giving all of us a chance to have Buffie touch our lives. .
