Karl L "Bud" Johnson, 94, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2022. Bud led an exciting and joyful life - positive under all circumstances, punctuated by random acts of generosity. His long and distinguished career in design included managerial positions at Gump's in New York, and Tiffany and Gucci in Beverly Hills. He opened his Studio City boutique in 1975 and soon became the darling of Hollywood. He brought his talents to the desert in 1991, where he maintained a shop on El Paseo, bringing joy and color to our community for many years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA (Ramon Chapel).
