Brenda Joyce Collins

March 17, 1962 — May 25, 2022

Brenda Joyce Collins, 60, born on March 17, 1962, in Long Beach, CA, United States, passed away May 25, 2022. She resided in Anaheim, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

Brenda was born to Joe Bobby and Ruth Marion Collins (nee Stevens). She was the second daughter born to the couple, and the third child. She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Her living siblings are Ruth Ann Wing (nee Collins), Robert Eugene Collins, and Patricia Diana McFarland. She is survived by her loving partner William (Bill) Grumblatt, Jr, and her three adult children Wesley Steven Johnson, Melissa Cheree Rodriguez (nee Johnson) (m. Joseph VanKuiken), and Travis Eugene Johnson. Her role as a step-mother to Jeramiah Grumblatt & Nikkole Grumblatt was something she took great pride in. She is remembered as a loving grandma to her grandkids Natalia Alessandra Rodriguez, Anthony (Tony) Steven Rodriguez, Analea Saenz VanKuiken, Asher Saenz VanKuiken, Nathan Grumblatt, Hailey Ivan, Melani Ivan & Isaiah Ivan. Being their grandma was the greatest role she ever took on, and she excelled at it. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Paws and Molly, who were her companions until the end. Brenda adored her nieces and nephews, Sclenna Sanchez (nee Wing), Eric Wing II, Brandy Wing, Tiffany Juarez (nee Wing), Jeremy Collins, Diane McFarland, Michael McFarland, Crystal Collins, Christine Collins, and Raeanne Collins. Brenda leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, and is a testament to the power of God's love and compassion. Brenda overcame many obstacles in her life, and used those experiences to dedicate herself to helping others achieve sobriety. She has left a void that cannot be filled, and is greatly and truly missed. She was so loved, and we take comfort in her words that she "loves you the same".

Brenda passed away in the home she made with Bill. Her hands were held, her hair smoothed, and I love you's were had all the way around her. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by love.
