BONNIE JEAN PARRISH

Bonnie was born March 21, 1931, in rural Golden City, Missouri, to Finis & Lula (Wright) Vaught.  Bonnie attended Golden City Schools.  At a very young age Bonnie taught herself to play the piano by ear.  During her high school years, Bonnie and her sister, Cleta played and performed songs at the Carthage Radio Station.

On August 14, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart William Harrison Parrish, and they took up residence in Lamar, Missouri.  Of this marriage four children were born:  Billy, Ron, Carol, and Karen.

In 1971 Bonnie and her husband moved to Buena Park, CA with their two daughters.  In California, Bonnie worked at Nabisco Company for 22 years until her retirement in 1994.  Bonnie and Harrison were active members of La Palma Christian Center where Bonnie played the piano and after retirement counted the offering every Monday.  In her church and community, Bonnie helped by serving others in many ways, always putting others first.

She was a very loving Mother and Grandmother as well as a true example of a Christian Woman who loved and followed the Lord from the time she received Him as her Savior until the time of her death.
