Bolex A. "bo" Lesiczka

Haverhill, MA: Bolex A. "Bo" Lesiczka passed away peacefully on April 19, 2015, at the age of 99, following a brief illness. Bo was born on February 18, 1916, the fifth of nine children, to Anthony K. and Anna (Wieczerzak) Lesiczka. In 1939, he married his sweetheart, Helen Winter, with whom he shared sixty-six years of marriage and together they raised three daughters.

Bo was a dedicated son, brother, husband, and father; a man with a unique sense of humor and detailed memories of a life and family that meant so much to him. He retired from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard following thirty years of employment. Bo continued his 'labor of love' working and gardening on land adjoining the farm where he was born and a place he so loved.

Bo was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Winter) Lesiczka, and is survived by his three daughters, Betty Lee of Haverhill, Barbara Rollins and her husband Peter of Holden, and Lorraine Woidyla, who was his dedicated care giver during recent years, and her husband Steven of Haverhill.

He also leaves his sister, Agnes Briggs of Connecticut, eleven grandchildren, Susanne Morse, Jennifer Lee, Robert Lee, Melissa Noyes, Jessica Hennessey, James Rollins, Andrea Zwisler, Lyanne Schweighofer, Patricia MacRae, Jean Marie Sargent, and Steven Woidyla, eighteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Jim Lee, and his seven siblings, Lena, Mary, Katherine, Bill, Joe, Stanley and Peter.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, April 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the St. James Open Hand Pantry, 6 Cottage Street, Haverhill, MA 08130.
