Bobbie June Knoll, 94, was born on February 3, 1931, in Dante, Virginia, and passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She was the second oldest of four children and is survived by one brother, one sister, two sons, and two beloved grandchildren.
Bobbie June was a woman of deep compassion, generosity, and selflessness—a true blessing not only to her family, but to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her radiant personality, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on all she met. She made a difference in countless lives, always offering help, warmth, and encouragement, and her memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends forever.
A small yet deeply meaningful symbol in Bobbie June’s life was the simple strawberry—though it was never simple in her eyes. She once delivered a heartfelt speech to her sorority sisters about strawberries, explaining how its shape reminded her of a heart. This is reflected in the tremendous heart she carried herself—one overflowing with compassion, empathy, and love for others.
For more than 70 years, Bobbie June was a devoted and active member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international women’s sorority dedicated to community service, cultural enrichment, appreciation of the liberal arts, and fellowship. Through this organization, members raise more than $3 million annually for local charities and contribute over 200,000 volunteer hours each year, while also supporting international funds that donate millions to health research, hunger relief, and other vital causes. Bobbie June’s lifelong commitment to Beta Sigma Phi stands as a powerful example of her generosity and service, and of how she served as a beacon of hope and a quiet guardian angel to so many.
Bobbie June had a deep love for flowers and gardening and was especially known for her thriving cymbidium orchids and many different varieties of rose bushes, which she joyfully shared with friends, her church, and hospital patients—simple gifts that made others feel loved, valued, and inspired. She was also an avid cook and baker who delighted in creating amazing holiday feasts, seasonal cookies, fudge, desserts, and one-of-a-kind cakes for family and friends. Her talent earned her numerous blue-ribbon, first-place awards at the Los Angeles County Fair, where she proudly entered her cakes and desserts in competition. Bobbie June also taught cake decorating classes and also worked part time as a florist, joyfully sharing her creativity, patience, and artistic eye with others.
At the time of her passing, Bobbie June resided in North Hollywood, California. She was laid to rest in the family plot beside her beloved husband, Christ J. Knoll, at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.
Bobbie June Knoll’s life was one of service, creativity, generosity, and love—a life beautifully lived and deeply cherished.
