Bobbie Joan Born

Bobbie Joan Born was born on February 27, 1938 in Glendale, California. She passed away peacefully January 23, 2015 at the age of 76.

She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing but spent most of her years in Burbank. Bobbie was a pre-WWII baby born in Glendale, California, born to Robert & Gladys Peden. She was the middle child and was well-liked in school. As a child Bobbie enjoyed swimming, singing and horseback riding with her sisters Donna and Brenda. Her father, Robert used to keep the grounds for some directors in Hollywood and through this connection Bobbie and her sisters got the opportunity to be "extras" in some legendary films. The Glenn Miller Story, Annie Get Your Gun, In the Good Old Summertime, Meet Me In St. Louis and Jailhouse Rock to name a few. She was artistic by nature and loved to draw and paint.

Her mother encouraged her to dance and play the piano and she did some acting with the local studios around Burbank. She also attended Art Center in Pasadena which propelled her into her love of drawing and art. Bobbie worked at Disney and Hanna Barbera Productions, as an artist and also worked as a legal secretary in North Hollywood. She met her husband through some friends while attending Glendale College. They married in 1958.

Bobbie has 4 children: Kathy, Gary, Marilyn and Paul. Her children are her family and she is deeply loved by them. Throughout Bobbie's life, she stayed positive and true to herself.

She will be deeply missed.
