He was born on March 3, 1930 in Mitchell, South Dakota. He dutifully served his country as a Corpsman in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged on November 27, 1951. He was in sales until his retirement in 1991. He was a resident of West Covina for the past 49 years. Preceded in death was the love of his life, wife, Rene Prouty. They were married for 54 years. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki and husband David Farugia; son, Scott and wife Lisa Prouty; grandchildren, Kelly, Mike, Alex, Brinton, and Brian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Church of Our Heritage at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills, Ca.
