Beverly Jane Rivers

Beverly Jane Rivers, 83, of Buena Park, CA passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 while in hospice care in Placentia, CA. She was born on May 7, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Edna (Lowry) Irwin. She married George Rivers on January 15, 1956 in Southgate, CA. They moved to Buena Park, CA in 1957.

In her younger years, she was a championship ice and roller-skater. She was a homemaker for many years while raising a family and later went to work at Pearl's Fabrics in Cerritos, CA and then at Joanne's Fabrics in Buena Park, CA. She was a professional seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting. After retiring in 1995, she enjoyed spending time at the senior center where she exercised and line danced.

Beverly is survived by her children, Ken (Sundee) Rivers of La Mirada, CA, Tammy (Charles) Ridal of Buena Park, CA, Paul Rivers of Buena Park, CA, and Scott (Rhonda) Rivers of Rockton, Il; grandchildren, Ryan, Charlie, Amy, Andrew, Rebekah, Nathan, Jason, Evan, and Carson; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Elowen. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister, Phylis Dodd.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, April 21 at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Cypress, CA, with visitation from 1:30 to time of funeral. Graveside service at noon, Thursday April 22 at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
