Beverly Ann Cornell

February 11, 1930 — February 11, 2020

Beverly Ann Cornell,
Born on February 11, 1930, in Detriot, Michigan
Passed away on February 11, 2020 in West Covina, California

Funeral Services held on February 21, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Covina Hills, California.

Beverly's parents were immigrants from Sweden (Arvid) and Finland (Christina). Arvid was a policeman in Detroit and later a developer of vacation property in upstate Michigan. Christina (later Jenny), was a tiny ball of joy and toughness, who Beverly later resembled in personality, although Beverly was much taller and considered by most to be very beautiful.

Beverly went to Cooley High School in Detroit, where she met her future husband, Frederick Winston Cornell. After marriage, Beverly had 3 children, Craig, Kristen and Kurt. While the children were young, the family moved from Michigan to Southern California.

Beverly enjoyed bridge in her free time. She was very intelligent and could be very charming. She made a lot of friends.

Like many people, Beverly faced serious personal challenges in her life. Over time, she overcame all of them. Her mother's toughness proved to be critical in Beverly's life. She showed others that whining was not only pointless, but demeaning. She was a fighter and will be remembered as full of life, intelligence, humor and charm.
