Obituary:

In loving memory of Betty Lou Barber

Betty Lou Barber, a devoted soul who dedicated her life to the ministry, teaching children, working with young people, and spreading the message of faith through preaching and prayer, has peacefully passed away at the age of 84 in Henderson, NV. Born on March 13, 1940, in Dallas, TX, Betty was a beacon of light to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Betty found joy in sharing her love for music by singing and playing the piano or guitar. Her artistic talents and craftiness shone through in everything she did. Graduating from Artesia High School in 1958 marked the beginning of a journey filled with faith, compassion, and unwavering determination.

Having worked alongside her parents at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Buena Park, CA before moving to Adel GA to establish Calvary Tabernacle, Betty made a lasting impact on all those she encountered. She was known for her friendly and cheerful demeanor, always eager to lend a helping hand. Her tenacity and strong will allowed her to achieve anything she set her mind to.

Betty's legacy of kindness and devotion will forever be cherished by her surviving family: Steven Williams (son), Lynda Williams (daughter-in-law), Larry Williams (son), Cori Williams (daughter-in-law), Christine Maurer (daughter), Tim Maurer (son-in-law), as well as 5 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband Wayne Barber in eternal peace. Betty also will be reunited with her mother Hazel Johnson, father Roy Johnson, sister Shirley Pyle, brother-in-law Arvel Pyle, brother Sonny Johnson, sister-in-law Pat Johnson.

A visitation will be held on April 10th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Hope Chapel in Cypress, CA from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the same day.
